Cambium Networks is announcing the cnWave 60 GHz (V-band) solution, which enables multi-gigabit
connectivity for fixed wireless access. Based on 802.11ay standard and certified with Facebook Terragraph,
cnWave supports TDMA/TDD synchronization and allows high-density deployment. The product supports
beamforming for easy installation, Mesh support for easy network expansion, and auto healing.
All radios are software defined and can be used for point-to-point, point-to-multipoint and Mesh
configuration.

- Hardware ready for channel bonding, double the capacity with future firmware upgrade.
The cnWave platform includes three products:
- V5000 ‒ Distribution Node (DN), auto beamforming, dual sectors with 280° coverage, up to 7.6 Gbps
throughput, and supports 30 client nodes (CN)
- V1000 ‒ Mid-Gain Client Node (CN), auto beamforming, 1 Gbps UL, and 1 Gbps DL.
- V3000 ‒ High Gain Client Node (CN), auto beamforming, 1.9 Gbps UL, and 1.9 Gbps DL.
The cnWave product can be used as:
- WTTH (Wireless to the Home) – Providing wireless broadband access directly to the home.
- WTTB (Wireless to the Building) – Providing wireless broadband access to rooftops or sides of
buildings, which then is distributed to individual offices and homes via wire.
- RTTRT (Rooftop to Rooftop) – Dedicated PTP connection for long range.
- Fiber Extension – Providing last 100m to 1000m connection.
- Backhaul – For 5G small cell, outdoor Wi-Fi, MicroPoP, and video surveillance in smart cities.
