Stratex Networks is an industry leader in the development, manufacture and marketing of microwave radio solutions for point-to-point applications in licensed frequency bands. Their solutions are used as complements and alternatives to fiber for last-mile access, wireless-fiber transmission services, network backhaul, and interconnection in multiple communications applications worldwide. Stratex Networks provides its products, systems and services to three primary market segments:

Mobile Cellular Infrastructure - Stratex Networks offers a full portfolio of microwave-based solutions, from low- to medium-capacity PDH for BTS and Node B connectivity for 2G and 3G networks respectively, and higher capacities up to multiple 155 Mbps for BSC/RNC and core network transmission needs.

Fixed Networks, including Broadband Wireless Access - PTTs , ILECs, CLECs, and other service providers need viable solutions for bandwidth delivery in the last-mile portion of their networks. As these service providers continue to experience demand for Internet and data-driven services, the bottleneck caused by the lack of suitable cable/fiber-based systems in the last mile becomes an increasingly suitable application for wireless transmission. Stratex Networks meet the demands of the established carrier or the new competitive start-up.

Private Wireless Networks - Private networks can encompass a wide variety of applications. These networks are self-contained, carrying private PABX voice and LAN/WAN data traffic. National or regional TV networks also use microwave for contribution/distribution links between studios and broadcasting sites that are typically located on remote mountaintop locations where cable connectivity is impractical. Stratex Networks' wireless systems provide a wide range of TDM and data-oriented interfaces, low capacity 64 kbps through to ultra-high capacity 622 Mbps.
