Radium MiniBay General Specifications
The Radium MiniBay is a recent addition to the Telecom grade Radium FITL-FTTC outside plant family of powering systems fully scalable to 4,000 Watts and 840 Amp-Hours of battery capacity. The MiniBay system benefits from more than 20 years of Alpha's Outside Plant (OSP) powering experience.
The MiniBay integrates Alpha's comprehensive line of power solutions for today's complex Hub and environmentally controlled enclosure powering requirements including Alpha's Pinnacle AC UPS, RSM 48/10 and 24/18 series high efficiency hot swappable switchmode rectifiers, and the AlphaGenTM series of telephony grade DC generators.
Features for the Radium MiniBay include: front and rear accessible 19" or 23" equipment racks providing up to 46 rackmount spaces, durable powder coated aluminum construction, battery storage modules isolated from the equipment section and house up to four Tel 12-105 batteries supporting a 12.5 amp load for 8 hours. Typical CSA-NRTL marked configurations include integrated AC service entrance, TVSS, AC distribution, standby generator interface, lighting, heat exchanger, fan/filter or air conditioner thermal management, rectifiers or AC UPS equipment.

The Cordex system features tiered modular Vista distribution that provides outstanding system flexibility and enables your DC power system to grow and adapt incrementally to your current and future network application requirements.
The complete Cordex platform combines an industry leading system controller with field proven power components to supply up to 48VDC/2000A in a standard 7' plant. Distribution can be configured up to 96 breaker positions and fitted with a number of breaker types, fuses, and load disconnects.

Alpha's Novus Micro series provides critical AC power conditioning and backup power for outdoor communication applications. Intended for powering cellular microcell and picocell stations, the Novus Micro series provides critical AC backup for up to 24 hours. Temperature compensated charging maximizes battery life in harsh, outside plant environments. This integrated design incorporates the UPS and batteries into a single, easy to install and connect cabinet. The Novus Micro's boost and buck modes let it operate in line mode when the line voltage is between 80 to 150VAC while outputting 120VAC ±10% without using the batteries. The LED display provides status information and is used as a troubleshooting aid.

The Novus II is a reliable, outdoor adaptation of Alpha?s proven line interactive UPS systems. It is available in three different mounting configurations and a rugged, outdoor, lockable housing. Advanced features include the Intelligent Boost Operation for stable output during low voltage or brownout conditions. Full status monitoring, relay output control signals, and optional RS-232/ASCII communications provide added flexibility and security.

Argus' Cordex series includes a complete range of modular 1kW rectifier shelf systems to meet the needs of worldwide communications applications.
Cordex 1kW modular systems range from a 6kW bulk power 19" shelf to a 4kW fully integrated 23" shelf power system with CXCM plug in controller and distribution module. Distribution modules are available in either DIN type breaker or bullet type breaker with a GMT type fuse option.
Argus Cordex 1kW rectifier modules feature complete hot-swappability, high efficiency with power factor correction, unique power limiting capability, and wide range input. Convection cooling and an ultra compact design also make Cordex shelf systems ideal for the communications industry.

Cordex CXC brings advanced technology to the DC power industry. This compact system controller is designed for seamless operation and set up of Argus power systems and is equipped with a complete range of features.
A graphic LCD display with a state-of-the-art touch-screen interface allows simple and convenient local set up, control, and monitoring of Cordex rectifiers. By utilizing TCP/IP technology, complete configuration and monitoring of power equipment is possible through a network web browser. An RS-485 communication option ensures compatibility with Argus Pathfinder® rectifiers.
The Cordex CXC system controller ensures effortless operation of the Cordex rectifier family. Time consuming, complicated set up and monitoring of DC power systems or smart peripheral modules is now a thing of the past.

Cordex rectifiers bring advanced technology to the DC power industry. Innovative engineering combines the best in efficiency and reliability meeting the power requirements for a variety of system applications.
With more than 9kW per 23" shelf, the fan cooled Cordex 1.8kW rectifier has extremely high density providing the most power in the least amount of space. A compact 2RU design accommodates five rectifiers per 23" shelf and four rectifiers per 19" shelf with integrated CXCI controller. An optional CXCM2 controller with touch screen display is available.
Local and remote setup, adjustment, and control is a simple single-step process with the Cordex CXC System Controller. By utilizing TCP/IP technology, complete configuration and monitoring of power equipment is possible through a network web browser.

The Cordex CXCI controller brings advanced monitoring technology to the Cordex series of rectifiers. This compact system controller is designed for seamless operation and set up of Argus power systems and is equipped with the complete range of Cordex software features.
Optional smart peripheral modules support devices for 2 or 12V battery cell monitoring, providing detailed battery performance logging during a fail-safe battery test or power outage. The integrated logging feature, typically only available with an advanced standalone data logging system, allows the capture of data from multiple inputs for AC/DC voltages, load / battery current, and cell voltages/temperatures (automatically for up to 16 user defined logs).
